the belly - 38 weeks

(it is really funny to see the size difference between the blog header and this picture)
I finally got around to taking a 38 week picture at 38 weeks and 6 days, but hey it was still 38 weeks :-) I have noticed that baby has dropped in the past few days. My ribs are feeling better and I have lots of pressure on my bladder. I'm shocked with the amount of energy I've had lately. Not only just nesting around the house but in other ways too. I can stay up till 11 pm or midnight which is totally unheard of for me and this pregnancy. When Ryan and I go for walks I don't have to ask him to slow down because for once I can actually keep up. All this energy is weird since I'm sleeping a lot less getting up at least 4 times a night. I hope that means baby is ready to come and I'll have all this energy for labor.

I'm still preparing myself that it could be two more weeks before baby comes, but I still keep tomorrow in the back of my mind. I don't mind being pregnant. I've heard people that just HAD to have their babies and couldn't take it anymore, but I'm good. This baby is pretty easy to take care of right now. I've been having little freak outs lately... I can't believe I'm going to have a baby!

a little photo shoot

This is the belly at 38 weeks...(Don't worry, I'm still planing on doing the standard black and white to match the rest) Darcie is helping me shoot Dom and Megan's wedding this weekend so she was practicing with the camera last night. Man I'm getting huge.

We had a our doctor's appointment today and things are moving along. I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I actually lost weight (a first) this week, but that was thanks to the stomach flu that hit me REALLY hard this weekend. My blood pressure was a little high, but I contribute that to stressing over this wedding, it wasn't high enough to worry about though. The little bean's heart rate was right around 140 beats per minute.

Ryan and I have been putting the finishing touches on the nursery and I'll take some pictures this weekend to show everyone.

the belly - 36 weeks

I'm actually 37 weeks and 2 days today... but I'm lazy and just now have gotten around to making a blog post.

I've been working a lot on the nursery this week and I'll post pictures once its a little further along.

We toured the Labor and Deliver wing at the hospital which made it feel very real, but also put me at ease knowing where everything would be and what options were available to me.

So the waiting continues... three weeks and counting.

the belly - 34 weeks

We've made it to 81/2 months! 34 weeks down 6 to go!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I'm getting big though. I have a whole batch of "maternity" shirts that are already too short, which doesn't really make sense. Shouldn't they be long enough to cover a pregnant belly?

I'm actually a two days shy of 35 weeks, but the picture I took last week was bad... and it took me until to day to get off my duff and do it again.

We had a doctors appointment on Friday and everything is checking out great. Baby is head down and has a heartbeat in the 140s. Something about the doctors office really woke baby up though! Usually baby sleeps all day and just has a few active parts of the day. On Friday baby wouldn't stop moving! A favorite was to push his/her hands against my hip bone and pushing his/her butt up into my ribs. Its always funny when people ask "Is baby moving?" but then catch themselves and say "Whoa I can see it!" LOL

More frequent updates coming :-) If you're out there reading this you should leave me a comment so that I know who is out there... it isn't nice to just be a lurker :)

the belly - 31 weeks

I got a week ahead of myself and took the belly picture at 31 weeks vs 32 weeks. Now I'm too lazy to pull out the tripod, move the glider and do it all again. And it won't stop snowing! so there isn't amazing light. Seriously! when is spring going to arrive? isn't is April?

The end is coming! Only 8 more weeks until baby is "supposed" to arrive. This week we are starting to go to the doctor every two weeks. The baby is moving around A LOT and doesn't like any pressure, I can't even rest my hands on my belly without getting kicked.

The one side effect that I don't appreciate about this pregnancy is that it has sucked up my desire to take pictures. We went to visit our good friends in Kalispell, and I usually come home with over 200 photos... I didn't take my camera out of the bag...maybe not even the car! I still take photos for work, but the personal photos just take a lot of motivation. I hope it fades soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

the belly - 28 weeks

7 months! I can't believe how fast (and slow at the same time) this pregnancy is going. I've grown A LOT the past four weeks and so had the baby. Baby is moving all of the time but gets very active when I'm working at the computer and when I try to go to sleep. It is almost impossible to take nap with a moving belly.

Painting will happen this weekend!! I hope :-)

the belly - 24 weeks

This is me...6 months pregnant. Anytime this kid decides to get out of my pelvis I'd really appreciate it. Some days I feel like baby is moving up, but then I jinx myself and it plops right back down. We are off to IKEA this weekend for a nursery shopping spree! Hoorraayy

the belly - 20 weeks

For the fast 19 weeks I've felt fat; not pregnant, fat. I couldn't button my jeans and looked liked I'd had a huge Thanksgiving dinner. Like magic once I hit 20 weeks I felt pregnant and looked pregnant. Thank goodness!

I took a little break from working and decided to do some belly shots one afternoon. I set up the tripod in the soon to be nursery, dusted off the remote and fired off a few shots. It was pretty easy; the hard part was keeping Lula and Bailey from stealing my shot. They were so confused :-)

So here is my baby at 20 weeks.

Stay tuned for updates...Ryan is nesting and there are a lot of changes happening at the Kuntz house.
