Throwback Thursday...

I haven't done a throwback Thursday in a long time! I was looking for something special to share, but I don't have the photo so I'll have to find it, scan it, and hopefully share it in January. Speaking of scanning did anyone else's parents take ALL their photos on slides? We use to have old fashion slide shows and everything.

Back to throwback Thursday...

Ah Christmas morning. We ALWAYS have to stand next to the stockings and get a picture. My best guess is that I'm 2 and Christy is 5.

Aiden's baptism

On November 16th we Baptized Aiden at Resurrection Parish. I was so nervous. Mostly because we'd have to stand in front of the church in front of everyone, and we weren't given the best directions so I didn't feel like I knew what was going to happen, and who knows how a 5 month old is going to behave for an hour at church when we couldn't walk around the back of the church. Everything went great though! Aiden was a super star. He was a total ham, and never got cranky. It was great to see how happy Aiden's grandparents were for him. A special thanks to Aunt Darcie for taking pictures.

All the family that came to celebrate Aiden!
Aiden's GodParents Mark and Joslyn. He likes them a lot!

an afternoon at Nanna's house

Aiden spends two days a week with Ryan's mom Nanna and his cousins Colter, Cameron and Ethan. Nanna had to get her friend Rosie to help her because four boys and one Nanna is TOO much! Two months ago...
Colter is really into cameras lately.

Last week I had to reschedule a session due to bad weather so I had all my gear with me when I went to pick up Aiden so I had an impromtu photoshoot with the boys. By the time I got there Ethan had already gone so I only got three of the boys. Aiden was all about eye contact and smiling, I guess a little competition brings out the model in him :-)
Aiden 5.5 months, Colter 2.5 years, Cameron 4.5 months
Even the babies thought the two year old was crazy.
Yeah one good one... thanks Nanna for holding the crazy two year old down ;-)

A trip to the pumpkin patch...

This weekend we started a new Kuntz family tradition. We headed to Rocky Creek Farm to pick a pumpkin out of the "pumpkin" patch. In reality its a corn field with store bought pumpkins, but Aiden doesn't know that so we'll call it a pumpkin patch.

It was a little chilly so we bundled up and rode the trailer pulled by a tractor out to the field where we unloaded and chose our pumpkins. Thankfully Ryan was up for this family activity, he took pictures! and let me take pictures of him! WHOA :-)

brr...

Aiden was a trooper and didn't whine once, even with his snow suit on. Next year we'll try to go sooner so it isn't so chilly.

We carved the pumpkins last night while Aiden was snoozing and they turned out pretty good. (photos coming soon)

Flathead Vacation Day three

We tried to take it easy on day three after all of the adventure and car time the day before. We drove up to Whitefish to visit Ryan's Grandma June. We had lunch on the front porch overlooking Whitefish lake. Ryan fixed grandma's car, Aiden napped and I looked at magazines... it was very relaxing.

Weekend Wrap-up

What a fun weekend we had! Saturday started off slow... we futzed around, grabbed some breakfast, worked (the joys of working from home... you can always do work) and just kind of relaxed. That is until Ryan came upstairs and said "we can go to the Bobcat scrimmage... but we'd have to leave now" as soon as I said "OK" Ryan was already changed into his Bobcat shirt and hat and we were running out the door. Yes we have a baby, and we can still run out the door at a moments notice (sometimes). Here is baby Aiden enjoying his first bobcat experience... errr or Ryan's watch.Isn't the new turf pretty...
To round out our random Saturday we stopped at Joe's. The best place to get a fountain pop...where they have almost every variety of Coke and Pepsi products and 32 ounces is only 50¢. My sorority sisters and I (and everyone else we knew in college) lived on Joe's... they were a staple of our college diet. Everyone knew what you meant when you said you were going to get a Joe's and they'd usually throw 50¢ at you with their order too. Well Ryan went in to grab us a couple Joe's and came out with SHOCKING news. After 20 years a Joe's is now 75¢... bummer. I guess it is one more thing we can tell Aiden when he grows up... "back in our day..."

To top of the randomness that was Saturday Ryan stopped off for a "snack" at Little Ceasers for a Hot and Ready... (yes a whole pizza is a snack to my husband) and there was a dude playing his cello in the lobby...what?? I guess your $5 hot and ready now includes a little classy culture :-)

Sunday was a lot of fun and a lot less random. We drove up to visit my parents at Canyon Ferry Lake. Aiden has gotten a whole lot better in the car seat since I took out his newborn insert. Look at those sad tired eyes though... oh yeah and some blanket munching.
Dad and Ryan went fishing while I was on baby watch, and then we switched and Darcie and I went knee boarding and tubing. It was fun... but I'm so sore today. This post-baby body is out of shape!
Notice the algae... ewww

How was your weekend? :-)

Guy Time

It drives me crazy when people say "Oh, Dad is babysitting..." It isn't babysitting when it is your own kid! (ok I'm stepping off my soap box)

The end of maternity leave meant the beginning of Daddy and Aiden time. I think next summer and in the summers to come these two are going to love it. They'll throw the football around, go fishing, and lots of other stuff just for guys, but right now they are just trying to get through the day without too many melt downs. Thank goodness for long drives around town and ESPN radio right Ryan? :-) Last Saturday was my first wedding back and it went great. Ryan and Aiden did great (which made it a whole lot better). As the last limo pulled away I snapped this photo of daddy and our sleeping son. Ryan was annoyed as he usually is when I try to take his picture, but someday he'll look back and thank me.

(Ryan and Aiden don't come to every wedding... we were guests as well as photographers for this one)

he finally has a son

he may be grand... but a son is a son.

My dad loves he three girls, but he has secretly wanted a son... well not that secretly. Anyone who calls their daughter Ralph was wishing for a son :-)

Leverson Clan

Last week was crazy! My mother-in-law had a family reunion at her house to celebrate Grandma June's 80th birthday. She hosted her three brothers and her sister plus everyone's kids and grandkids some 25 to 30 people! I find that it is really hard to take photos with Aiden around, but I'm trying to get better.

Here is the whole clan:
To celebrate 80 years of Ryan's FABULOUS grandma June we put together a photo book (you can check it out here, firefox users will have to use a different browser like safari). It was funny to take a trip back in time with Ryan's family. The last time the whole family got together was 17 years ago for June and Myron's 40th wedding anniversary, so there were a lot of photos from the event. My favorite was one of Ryan and his cousin Kevin when Ryan was 10... they were so cool (note he was a Seahawks fan back then!). So Amanda (Kevin's totally cool wife) and I decided (and demanded) that they recreate the picture... luckily they played along :-)Another thing that came from the 4oth Anniversary reunion was a ping-pong tournament. I'm happy to say that after 7 games of ping-pong Brett (Ryan's cousin) and I rocked it out and WON! There was even an awards ceremony where Ryan's aunt Julie and uncle Brian passed the plaques on to us :-) It was hilarious!Aiden proved how big he really is when I laid him down next to his second cousin Ethan (Kevin and Amanda's little boy). Ethan is two months older than Aiden, a little bit chunkier, but just as long!
Stay tuned for more...

family photos

Friday night we ventured over to the Oddy house to celebrate Diane's Birthday (Ryan's mom). I had no idea that adding Aiden and Cameron to the mix would be so much more noise. I knew it would eventually... but not right away! It would have been pretty funny to be a fly on the wall for this one. Four kids 2 and under, ten adults and two dogs... full house. Thankfully Aiden was a little gentleman and let everyone hold him, slept through dinner and only squawked when he was hungry.

So what do you get the mom that has everything, a family photo of course! (Molly was really interested in my camera remote)Which led to impromptu photos of each family.

Jen (Ryan's sis), John, Colter and CameronJay (Ryan's Step-brother), Steph and Ethan

Then it was Larry and Diane's turn with the dogs. With dogs and people you just have to keep shooting because you never know when everyone is going to look and sit at the same time. While I'm shooting away look at the little ham that ran into my view proclaiming "CHEESE". You'd think he was trained or something. :-) He ran back and forth three times and we were dying of laughter. I'm surprised I was able to get the shot.
