Merry Christmas!

May all your wishes and dreams come true this holiday season.

may your holiday be filled with love,

and laughter...
I made a mistake and didn't order enough Christmas cards. I have a ton of left over birth announcements (anyone want one?), so I thought I'd order less Christmas Cards... then I ran out. oops

Throwback Thursday...

I haven't done a throwback Thursday in a long time! I was looking for something special to share, but I don't have the photo so I'll have to find it, scan it, and hopefully share it in January. Speaking of scanning did anyone else's parents take ALL their photos on slides? We use to have old fashion slide shows and everything.

Back to throwback Thursday...

Ah Christmas morning. We ALWAYS have to stand next to the stockings and get a picture. My best guess is that I'm 2 and Christy is 5.

(Last year...)

Santa came for a visit...

You didn't know that Aiden's Grandpa was really Santa did ya?

My dad has never had facial hair in the 25+ years I've known him... or that I could remember. He doesn't shave while camping and over Labor day weekend he noticed that he might be able to grow a full beard... something that has escaped him in his younger years. Low and behold he could. He hasn't saved since. After it started getting long he said he was going to keep it long until he took a Santa picture with Aiden. We'll see how long it goes before it gets trimmed now that the Santa picture is taken ;-)

Santa Clause is com'n to town

We took Aiden to see Santa today. I wasn't sure how he would handle it. He hadn't napped well and woke up from a quick car snooze a few minutes before we plopped him on Santa's lap. He took one curious look at Santa then saw the camera flash and turned on the charm. You'd think he was trained or something.

If you curious he asked Santa for a few toys like blocks and balls and of course a jogging stroller for Mom... what? he is looking forward to the rides ;-)

Oh a hunting we will go...

Christmas tree hunting that is. Last weekend we ventured out with our friends the Pitmans to get our Christmas trees. Much to our surprise there was barely any snow up Bracket Creek. We brought the sled, but it didn't get much use... there was just too much snow ;-)
Peyton was not a fan of the sled.
After hour 1 I got board and started taking pictures.
Aiden was loving it
We finally found some trees... not great, but good enough. The men (Ryan and Dustin) with their "kill".
The women who just hiked for 2 hours with 20 pounds of kid, clothes and blankets.

remember when...

Babies grow up too fast! Aiden is 30 weeks old today... (yes I had to count I don't really keep track of that) It is hard to remember when he was only 1 week old...

Life is much easier now. I'm not as emotional. I know I cried the day this picture was taken, he wouldn't cooperate. He was and still is a VERY light sleeper. I had such big plans for newborn pictures with my baby, but no one ever tells you how hard it will be with your own. I still mourn the images I never got. I'm hiring someone for the next baby's photo shoot.

I think we might have Christmas Card material....

I've been working my hiney off to get everyone what they desire for Christmas from September till... well I'm still trying to get it all done. I've been so busy I hadn't even started thinking about Christmas cards. Then I realized Christmas is in TWO weeks! YIKES. Luckily yesterday I was able to steal 15 minutes with my small mighty and handsome man, he just happened to be wearing a green shirt and sitting in a red chair. Thank goodness... we might just have something for a Christmas card. I only want to show you something that didn't make the cut so I don't ruin the fun.

Gotcha... we're not going private... probably never will. I just wanted to make you comment so I could see who was out there ;-) We get over 25 visits a day and I just wanted to see who was checking in on us. Feel free to comment in the future ;-)

Now so you're not mad a me here is a video of my little talker.

The Dog House

This is hilarious! I wish this place really existed, it is perfect.

http://bewareofthedoghouse.com/video.aspx

The guys learn out to fold laundry as punishment, the lady on the speaker repeating things like "offer to change diapers" LOL

I don't need jewelry though... especially not from JCPenny... just a jogging stroller please honey :-) I have all the xbox games and computer stuff I need for now.

Although this would be nice, or this, or even this.

Thanks Steph for sending me the video :-)

Going Private?

We're thinking about going private around here. If you're interested in keeping in the loop just leave a comment with your name and a reason why we should include you in the fun. :-)

We'll leave you with photos of the incredibly flexible boy, who now likes to suck on his toes.

I have a new favorite picture!

Doesn't it just crack you up! Aiden's new trick is screaming/yelling/holler'n/talking, and during Thanksgiving at my Aunt and Uncle's house there was a lot of talking going on because their giant house echos so well.

He lets you talk along with him as long as you aren't louder than him. One day his cousins tried to play along, but Aiden's feelings got hurt and things ended in tears. :-) He's a little sensitive.

I wish I could move in to this photo friendly house!
Aiden didn't appreciate Grammy and Darcie trying to make him smile.

Just teasing ;-) Look at that cute little tongue.

Aiden's baptism

On November 16th we Baptized Aiden at Resurrection Parish. I was so nervous. Mostly because we'd have to stand in front of the church in front of everyone, and we weren't given the best directions so I didn't feel like I knew what was going to happen, and who knows how a 5 month old is going to behave for an hour at church when we couldn't walk around the back of the church. Everything went great though! Aiden was a super star. He was a total ham, and never got cranky. It was great to see how happy Aiden's grandparents were for him. A special thanks to Aunt Darcie for taking pictures.

All the family that came to celebrate Aiden!
Aiden's GodParents Mark and Joslyn. He likes them a lot!
With Mom and Dad.
